>>39734456It's acceptable because all the Pokemon existing in the game has extremely little bearing on the game's objective quality.
Normies only play the game for a week to get to the credits and then move on to something else, so the rest of the Pokemon are irrelevant because they wouldn't be available until months after the game releases and Home comes out anyway.
Competitive players play to win with whatever best Pokemon are available, so whether or not all the Pokemon are in is irrelevant.
The only people this has an effect on are sentimental people who care about "muh bros," but even if they were in the game, 2 months after the game is out when Home releases, at which point you've most likely already went through all the content the game, what are you going to do with your "bros"? Use them in the little to non-existent post-game there is? Use them in online when most of them won't even be viable anyway? Breed them for pointless shiny hunting so you can throw it back in a box and stare at it or post it online? They have no value being in the game for the "gotta catch em all" aspect of the series because all you're doing is just mass transferring shit you already caught or just trading for things you're missing, both of which you can already do in Home by itself.
Yes removing Pokemon is bad, but it has so little effect on the quality of the game it's retarded that THIS is what started mass outrage and not something like GF removing the Battle Frontier in ORAS which has a much more tangible effect on the amount of missing gameplay.
