I never get why people associate Honchkrow with neckbeard atheists and the Reddit crowd. It wears a fedora, yes, but it's obviously meant to be a mob boss. The fedora is much more commonly associated to the mafia than to neckbeards, people like Al Capone wore them. Just ask anyone outside of the internet.
Besides, it's a mob boss. It has no reason to try to cut itself, and has absolutely no relation to atheism at all. It's black because real life crows are black, and the red contrasts well with black as a secondary color.
