Quite the opposite, it's like a "little sis annoyed by her dumb oniichan" sort of thing with them. She still appreciates how good he is with pokemon and caring for them, and she misses his meals when he's not around.
I will however say that Ash and Brock are way closer pals than Misty and Brock are
