>>45734395Writing romance isn't easy. Even experienced really good story tellers and writers struggle with writing honestly good romances and characters. I'm not excusing poor writing, I'm only saying its not easy and writing believable and interesting romance requires a lot of understanding of both characters and their backgrounds and life experiences. Pokemon doesn't have a lot of that, we don't know how Pokemon communities work or how complex they are or are not. So a lot of people just default to "Man/Woman with psychic & fairy powers." as its easier to write for something more human.
