>>18535953I think speeding up evolution is going to really hurt the game. I mean, imagine the terror of a RayBoar deck if Emboar is out turn 1 and he Junipers, gets a full hand of energy, and sweeps the only active Pokemon on the field. No offense meant, but I think speeding up evolutionary chains would make the game almost too fast. Instead of lasting long, they'd be done in 10 minutes because you can Ultra Ball/Poke Ball/etc for the Pokemon you need, stack your bench with the evolutions, and just start running train before anything else happens. The power creep would continue to climb, but that's my opinion.
I do agree with the Stage 2 ideas, though. Bulkier (like PLF Deafen Dragonite), heavier attacks (I'm going to gun for 100+, or at least 90 with an effect), and possibly release some with the abilities too.
Also, enough with mixing energies with Dragon Pokemon for attacks. They're a total bitch to play.
