The evil team kidnapped some scientist and the spouse asked to get him/her back, so you go to the observatory and to get back the scientist and the grunts are super friendly to you and say that they just needed his/her help and asked to apologize to the spouse if they seemed rude. They also bribed/threatened the kidnapped scientist so when you ask about the kidnapping he/she just laughs it off saying they just needed help. That said, I like the idea of the team being friendly too.
tl;dr Team kidnaps scientist, claims there was no animosity, scientist has been bought off so says nothing bad happened.
