I found this Ribbon Master challenge to be fun not just because I can journey through many of the older Pokemon games with one of my favorite Pokemon, but also because it gives me a great opportunity to try out many of the features that I missed out on the first time playing through those games. Granted, I hated Hoenn Contests and Flareon had to be one of the worst Pokemon to bring on the Battle Tower, but trying out other things the games had to offer like Pokeathlon was an interesting experience. I think it's a fun way to breathe new life into the older games rather than letting them sit around in the dust indefinitely.
