Also "white"? It's grey, it's the SAME shade of grey in the Ken Sugimori art on the top of its mane used for LIGHTNING.
Here, I smeared highlights all over Ken Sugimori's art and used a dropper to copy the top part of its mane and recoloured it. I also compared the grey in the promotional art you're saying is Alolan Tauros right after, they had no difference, but this is the one I got Tauros' mane colour from in the Alola.
