>>51717234I image its a lot easier to have say six pikachu size or even lopunny size pokemon then too have six Snorlax size pokemon, but i get your point. The traveling restriction for trainers would also gives a gyms leader such a massive advantage in terms of what they can use or how big their team is. It would also greatly impact what pokemon people would catch since you would have either the money to transport it or the time to travel by foot with a larger pokemon.
I didn't even consider that. I know that we saw some inter-personal conflicts in the show, but there would probably be a lot more without pokeball. In fact i won't be surprise if entire teams break apart due to this. In fact i can see this being a problem for famous a trainer/pokemon. Just like how some band or sport team break apart.
>>51718908Random pokemon battle out in the forest or field would probability not be a thing. More then likely there would be some sort of designate battle arena scattered around where people can battle. There would probably be a covered shelters with water fountains, venting machine filled with healing sprays and tools for pokemon, and an emergency telephone. There would also be emergency telephone scatted alone the major route too.
Due to the new difficulty of transporting pokemon this would lead most people and pokemon for that matter to agree to some sort of fight until forfeit style battle. It would probably start out at first as a sort of gentlemen's agreement, but over time be codification in rules. For gyms it maybe different.
I just realize something. Stealing pokemon would be next to impossible since you can't use a poke ball to store and transport them.
