Seriously what is it with people crying about this shit? They wanted people to do Kanto in generation 2 as part of their experience instead of just confining it to a post-game. Why is it such a huge deal that they lowered the average levels of trainers by around 10 for this specific game only? I'd say the level curve meme applies to Kanto post game in the original gen 2 games but they CLEARLY fixed that shit in Gen 4. And even then in the original gen 2 games, kanto gym leaders were around the same level as the champion so if your team was already established this was a non-issue as long as you fought every gym leader. They even give you a place to grind for red who can be cheesed by abusing type advantages, no seriously LOOK AT HIS FUCKING TEAM ALL YOU NEED IS A GROUND TYPE AT LEVEL 40 TO DEAL WITH HIS PIKACHU. So once again I ask, why is everyone so batshit retarded about this.
