Sharpedo's pokedex description from Sun and Moon:
>"It has a sad history. In the past, its dorsal fin was a treasured foodstuff, so this Pokémon became a victim of overfishing."
The more i read the Dex's descriptions the more i feel that the pokémon world we get to explore is not nearly as alive as it could be.
Like, we have these interesting bits of lore, but the game often does nothing with them.
Wouldn't be cool if, for example:
>during the game we met a Sub-Quest where we have to save some Sharpedo from smugglers
>at evening, you could see from a beach Drifblim fly towards the horizon and suddenly disappear
>during the night there was a change that your shadow had the silhouette of a Gengar
I'm not saying that the game never actually show what is said in the Dex (Corsola in SM could call Mareanie in SOS battles and get attacked by it, in USUM we can see sometimes pokémon walk in the routes' background, and in SWSH Stunfisk actually disguises itself as a pokéball to ambush you, same as Voltorb and Electrode in older games), but i'm saying that it could be tapped on much more.
