>>47588642The Aquarium has special schools set up in different places all throughout the region. One of these schools has a Trainer Program and this is the school in which I intend to start the story, with some students getting their first Pokemon.
A problem arose when I thought about the implications of this. I'm not sure if the Aquarium should control the Pokemon Association in this world, meaning the Gym Leaders would basically be aligned with the Aquarium. Or if I should have them be separate entities. The reason this creates such a problem in my mind is because I intend to have the Aquarium basically be the bad guys. Like Shinra from FF7, or NOL from BlazBlue. This would mean the Gym Leaders are bad guys too. But I'm not sure if that's the smoothest decision for the plot.
Should I have the Pokemon Association be a separate entity, or do you like the idea of a game's Gym Leaders being enemies instead of allies?
