Update for the War-Themed Nuzlocke of Soul Silver, Warlocke 2nd Campaign: Johto Conquest.
We took down the formidable Clair and her forces, but at what cost?
Major Heracross went down while tangling with the Kingdra who just proved to be too strong. But his valiant sacrifice allowed Sergeant Crobat to finish it off before it could recover.
A tactical error on my part put Admiral Kingler in mortal peril, as one of the Dragonairs almost blew him away with their Dragon Force. But at the last second the Veteran Graveler jumped in front to cover Admiral Kingler, taking yet another bullet for the troop.
Veteran Graveler... She's pushed herself far over her limit, but she did it for the troop. In the decisive battles against Falkner, Bugsy and Whitney she fearlessly took the lead like a vanguard and lead the troops to victory. And when ever an inexperienced soldier got into a hot situation she always took the blow and got them back safely.
She was the rock of the troop. Though it's a slim comfort she died like she wanted, as a hero, things will never be the same without her.
My misjudgment caused the death of two fine soldiers. Even though it heavily weighs down my conscience I cannot begin to doubt myself, otherwise everything we've fought for will be lost, and every sacrifice will have been made in vain.
The path of war only leads to hell, but it's only road we can take.
In Memory of Major Heracross 14-35 and Veteran Graveler 2-35
