I mean, these things are EVERYWHERE in the caves. They're one of the most common Pokémon in there! So how the hell were they "believed to be just a myth"? You just have to put one foot into a mine to find one! I know that it's supposed to add to the mystery of their goblin-like origins, but considering how often they appear, it sounds like someone being surprised by the existence of the elusive and rare Zubat.
