I picked Turtwig this time, and he absolutely wrecked Roark's shit, nearly sweeping the gym by itself, with Lupin coming in to Crabhammer the Bonsly for good measure.
I started using the Poke Radar, as well as switching the clock in my PC so I get different mons this time around, netting me some cool mons like Terror (Radar), and Zoomy (Night time). I also started using the rod where I know the Pokemon in the grass are either type repeats or just too weak, which is how I got Lupin.
I'm not gonna get wiped this time, ;_;
