Pokemon go is alive i guess, but if the announcement in 7 hours is truly a mobile game, do we have any reason to believe its any good, even if it is by tencent?
Kinda unrelated but what if they release pokemon gen 2 on mobile as a means to make google remove emulators from the play store? A main series mobile game would be pretty big, and gen 2 would explain the stuff in the background as well as nintendo not RTing the announcement. GSC instead of RBY could be explained by RBY already being planned for NSO.
