FRLG and HGSS were also Team B games, and it shows but it still had old veterans in positions above that made sure the game still felt appealing for people who played the originals like Morimoto and Masuda
ORAS team couldn't give two shits, as soon as the character redesigns started to show the fandom got heavily divided. This only happened with Kotone and it wasn't that big, the rest of the game was loved while ORAS just divided people even further. Most people who tell me they love ORAS didn't play any of the original RSE while most people who tell me they hate ORAS played them and said ORAS just made them replay the originals
