Yeah, all baby pokemon had no weakness and 0 retreat, so they couldn't be killed turn 1.
They actually made them stronger with their Poke Body preventing all damage later on as well.

I also have 2 Garchomp theme decks so I can teach them the basics (they're not that young, so they should grasp the hang of it easily). Along with that, I share with them my PTCGO account where I have Charizard, Dragonite, Kyogre, Groudon and Zamazenta's theme decks and a more competitive Pikarom deck (minus Crobat V and 1 Dedenne), in case they want more variety or practice.
