>>18903854Honestly, I think you're going to have a lot of fun. If you're not in it for the competitive aspect, just as a stand-alone game, then Red/Blue is a really great experience. The only thing I can think of that is a genuine complaint is the pacing, but the game was designed without running shoes in mind, so it really isn't a big deal, it just feels slow if you're used to them.
I prefer the visuals (the dynamic looking sprites that most people shit on cause they don't look EXACTLY how the Pokémon should get a lot more shit than they deserve, I'd still be willing to argue that they're the best sprites of the series, only Silver and HG/SS's really compete - I owned Gold, before you call nostalgia.), the music is fucking god tier, and the selection of Pokémon is solid (despite your lil' troll attempt). Embrace the nostalgia, too. Nothing wrong with it if you're having more fun as a result.
