>>36612464One main game per console. NES, SNES, N64, GC, Wii, WiiU, and now Switch. It's wholly owned by Nintendo and done internally. Each game is standalone with no compatibility between them, not even the same pokemon. The cartoon ended after the first season. No trading and no multiplayer. Spinoffs are mediocre and forgetable. It's a beloved niche franchise with a dedicated fanbase. Real autism. Not functional autism. It's almost guaranteed that nintendo will make a new game for each of their console but it could die at any time. The games are good, better, with good sales but not anywhere close to now. The game has no mascot, it's simply identified by the pokeball. The fanbase is divided by games even more since all games are very different in graphics and gameplay. They are all RPG but some have action elements and others have more strategy elements. It's still the same pokemon world but catching and battling are a small part of what you do. The pokemon designs have the same aesthetic and themes in the same game but they vary by game. They range from digimon, to SMT, to neopets, to tomogotchi. From steampunk to cyberpunk and from hyper-realistic to fantasy. Each game has it's own fanbase and only a small part of the fanbase plays and enjoys all the installments. They want a sequal to their favorite game not just a new good game.
Normalfags don't know the game exists apart from the stigma associated with the fanbase as creepy autists who play a weird game.
