Changing up the classic formula (if only slightly) for the first and only time in BW and with the only (also perfect) sequel in the series with BW2. BW's climax right at the end of the game after the boss rush of Elite 4, N, and Ghetsis. BW2's climax didn't have that same kind of intensity, but greatly expands on Ghetsis' character in the end of the Plasma arc. BW2 is a bit like Platinum in that regard with building on characters from BW and introducing new ones.
Platinum builds upon and perfects the many flaws of DP with its Emerald-inspired Galactic story. However, since the game continues on to the 8th gym, Victory Road, and Elite 4 afterwards. The climax loses it's steam and dies down rather quickly before returning to classic formula.
But remember. This is Pokémon. Opinions. I personally cannot stand to play any 4th gen games after experiencing the speed of 5th gen games. 4th gen is just too slow to enjoy now. I look back on the times I did play with fond memories. Ayy lmao

>SUN OR MOON?Sun for nowRS and E are mostly the same game, but E's little changes put it slightly over the top for me. HGSS was cool with its aesthetics and partner Pokémon, but 4th gen is too slow. I enjoy GSC and RBY because of their age and bugs. Colosseum games are fun because I am a slut for double battles and memes. DP was fun when it first came out, but became obsolete and unforgivable when Platinum came out.
