I mean I understand the usage of it gameplay and lore wise- explain their weird aspect, locations or types and add a reason to "catch them all" BUT SHIT GETS STUPID once you have caught the same pokemon in three different gens and the descriptions are ALMOST THE SAME.
Sigilyph for example, the dex never mentions why it haves the ability wonder skin or the reason why it vaguely reseambles a fucked-up Xatu and Unown mix, Instead it just say the same bullshit about the ancient city it used to protect.
Why Gamefreak just does the same shit instead of trying to spice things a little?
