Looking back at how I learned about Pokemon games, how I played them and what my favourite generation is, I started to wonder what I am by /vp/'s terminology like "sinnohfetus", "unovabortion" and so on.
My first exposure to Pokemon games was in 2008 when a friend of mine decided to temporarily give me a one of his Game Boy consoles with Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver and Crystal. You see, Pokemon games are largely unknown in our country and I've never heard of them before. My friend was pretty much the only one in the town who was familiar with the series so he tried to show these games to me in order to become closer friends. He explained me different versions, generations and what games I should try first. After I've played roughly 70-80 hours in each of the Gen 1 & 2 games, I became really interested in the series. Later I was given a DS to try out Sapphire, Emerald, Diamond and Pearl and that only cemented my love for Pokemon. After that I played each and every game as they came out and I loved all of them (except XY, I think it's kinda short, but at least the music is pretty good). Currently my most favorite games are BW and BW2, but speaking of Pokemon as creatures, Gen 7 is my most favorite (the games were also amazing but for me they didn't top Gen 5).
So here we have it. My first games were Red&Blue, my first exposure to Pokemon was during Gen 4, my favorite games are Gen 5, my favorite creatures are from Gen 7. What am I, /vp/?
