There we go I started a Pearl nuzlocke, instead of a Platinum nuzlocke for no real reason even though I own all gen 4 games. It's actually kind of pleasant playing this version of the Sinnoh games for once and seeing the old character sprites. I still don't get why people think these games are slow, though.
These pokemon though, nyeh. I chose Turtwig because I never take it and thankfully it at least has a neutral nature. I decided I'd play without dupes clause just to see what it's like and the result is two starlys and three zubats before Roark. Givebidoof the Starly seems promising with a decent +sdef/-satk nature, but the rest of the lot are pretty mediocre. Reo the Shinx is especially disappointing since it has rivalry instead of intimidate, but I might need it anyway depending on my luck with other electric types. I could try and get a Luxio at the steelworks, or I have a decent shot at a Pichu/Pikachu from the trophy garden if I go there in the morning.
I would have liked to use Geodude, but unfortunately Grabel has Sturdy instead of Rock Head one generation before the Sturdy buff. I can't imagine She'll be the only Geodude I find, though.
