That short nature led to good development of the main character, both power level wise and as a person. Some extremely hype moments that made me jizz my pants multiple times.
There's many reasons to love it, not many to hate it. It made me appropriate characters I otherwise gave zero fucks about, like Giovanni, Red and Blue, and Charizard. It was pleasant to look at and pleasant to listen to. It had had moments that left with a huge smile on my face and a nice feeling. It didn't take 2 years of weekly broadcast to do so. It made the journey, while much shorter, an enjoyable one, with a proper conclusion.
Word of advise, stop assuming everyone watches anime for the same reasons. You might be watching it for Cubone and it's skull, others were watching to see RBG animated. Some were watching because they liked the characters appearing in them, others were just watching because it had Pokemon in the title. If it didn't meet your standard, instead of being a retarded fuck, take a step back, think about it from a slightly different perspective. If you do that, most of the time, you won't have to ask extremely stupid questions like "why do people like things I don't".
