>>40209098All I care about is the core gameplay, everything else is gravy. I even liked LGPE, at least it added some player agency to catching Pokemon, which has always been a glorified dice roll. There's no reason you shouldn't be able to transfer Pokemon in if you want to use one that doesn't appear in the game but I couldn't care less since it doesn't affect me. I've never transferred Pokemon in and never will. Limiting what Pokemon are available makes each region unique and forces you out of your comfort zone, encouraging you to use Pokemon you might have otherwise ignored if you were flanked by the usual suspects. I could see why someone would dislike this greatly but I think it's wonderful.
