>>36387075I just reached Reversal Mountain, there have been 2 deaths since my previous update, one of which I'll explain at the end of this post.
Now for gym battles, the one against Elesa was my most exciting one yet, I got Conkeldurr paralized on purpose with Flaaffy's Static, after several Volt Switches and a dead Flaaffy, I remained with roughly 40 HP, I stayed in, survived with 2 HP after Emolga used Volt Switch and oneshot Zebstrika with a Low Kick. Emolga succumbed to Magnemite.
Clay was easy, Maractus (don't get too mad at the nickname, it's an inside joke) swiftly got rid of Krokorok and Sandslash, Conkeldurr easily handled Excadrill.
As for Skyla, she was so easy it's not even funny, Magnemite was already a Magnezone at that point and all I did was spamming Thundershock.
I'm probably not gonna play for a while now but the next goal is to evolve Golbat and then continue.
Now, why did I have a Leavanny on the field against a Sigilyph? Well...
>Using Magnemite against Sigilyph>Psybeam does considerable damage despite being NVE>Both mons are low on HP, nobody on my team other than Magnemite resist psychic (which is a big issue now that I think about it, 3 weaknesses)>Switch into Leavanny which should be capable of resisting one Psybeam and finishing it off with Bug Bite>SIKE, here's an Air Cutter>OHKO>it'sover.jpg>back to Magnemite>another Air Cutter>[screams internally and eternally]
