again, i'd say this game actually is the 'best' of the kaizomods, as it's urmumium, but with some of the core issues with that game fixed, and doesn't have MM's baggage with the terrible base game
but i keep repeating myself every kaizomod, i don't know what the audience for these games are. every fight is just doing the same thing, over and over again, making small adjustments until you can eventually win. it doesn't demand skill, it doesn't really demand intelligence, it just demands patience.
pokemon is just not suited for this kind of difficulty. there's too much possible rng, where, if even one thing goes wrong, you can just lose automatically, and unlike something like a roguelike which has a lot of inherent rng, there's no way to 'roll' with bad luck and very little way to plan around it.
battles are just clicking through menus meaning you're going to repeat the same inputs over and over again, i'm not playing a game like dark souls where enemies can change up attack patterns and i have to figure out how to respond to them, i know the exact attacks that are coming every single time, in fact i have to to win. it's like doing a really shitty version of a speedrun, and i despise speedruns.
it commits the worst sin in a game you could possibly do, in a game like pokemon where there's so much variety, it's fucking boring. making the player rigid instead of allowing them to explore a bunch of different avenues to success goes against everything in this fucking franchise. the rebornlikes unironically for the most part, yes even empire, EVEN SOULSTONES, get that on some level, these kaizofuck mods do not.
i give this a 1/10, and i also retroactively give madame moto and urmumium the same thing. these mods are all just genuine garbage, they have legitimately no reason to exist, i don't get why people play them, and i don't care.
