Instead of talking about PLA, let's talk about some new moves and mechanics we'd like to see in future games. I'll throw out a few ideas
New mechanics
>Frostbite becomes a full on status effect. Like Burn, but halves SpAtt. Instead of causing Freeze, most Ice-type moves now cause Frostbite. Freeze still exists but is a much rarer status effect that can only be caused by specific moves, making it less random and more deliberate.
>Snow becomes a full weather effect. Increases the power of Ice-type moves, weakens Flying-type moves. Most things associated with Hail currently (Castform, abilities, 100% Blizzard, Aurora Veil, changes to other moves...) now work with Snow instead.
>Hail still exists but does not have all of its side effects since they moved to Snow. Still damages anything but Ice-types and still changes Weather Ball and activates Ice Body. Also buffs Defense of Ice-types, a la Sand.
Why doesn't Snow double Speed of Ice types? Because it should be more similar to Sun and Rain, which only double Speed of Pokemon with specific abilities. If Sun doubled Speed of Grass like it does in PLA than Grass types would have Sun + Grassy Terrain, and then it would only be fair to have Rain double the Speed of Water types which also feels like too much. It should feel more like those weathers than Sand, especially if Hail is going to still exist in this scenario.
