When G/S came out in Japan I wasn't allowed to browse the internet so I got what little information I could from fan magazines like Pojo and shit to tide me over. All the weird Japanese names and speculation and misinformation... it was like reading sensationalist accounts of faraway lands back in the sixteenth century or something.
Ever since then it's just been "oh the game's been leaked in Japan today, better look at all the info on Serebii." and then have my hype diminish for six months until it's out in the US. It was much more fun back then.
