>>48004911>Just because they called Legends the "next step" of the franchise doesn't mean literally everything it does is going to carry over smoothbrain. It really depends on how well received it is, "genius." If PLA gets massive critical acclaim, they're going to keep making games just like it. Just like how they kept rehashing the same formula until people started making serious complaints.
>Trainers not being a real thing make no sense unless every game is set in the far past from now on. You think that matters after GF introduced timeline faggotry as an excuse to make whatever retcons they want?
>There's no need to do shit like document Pokemon because you're never going to be some of the very first people to get INTO a region. That's literally the premise of Pokedex completion you dullard.
>And they can't deviate from that in any case ever, despite the circumstances being completely different? No reason to expect any differently until they prove otherwise. You're having a lot of trouble grasping simple concepts.
>And if they aren't, so what? Who's to say they haven't supplemented it with other forms of gameplay (which they clearly have)? Some of us want something more than catch x pokemon y amount of times or evolve it z amount of times.
>>48004924I understand how miserable PVP can be for those who don't like it, going up against tryhards as a newbie or casual is the definition of awful. But that's no reason to cut the feature entirely or cheer for its removal. You feel alienated by a meta so your response is to alienate the people who enjoy it in turn?
The problem I have with you apologists is you're all actively cheering on as the series continues to needlessly cut features and alienate certain fans. This used to be a franchise that could keep many types of players happy, there was something for everyone but that becomes less true with each release. This is why /vp/ is nothing but coomer threads and gen wars now.
