>>55247920>>55247960there will definitely be a dexcut, and unlike the mainline games, it would actually be justified. you HAVE to put all the mons in a pmd game, somewhere, because there's no trading or transferring, which would not be feasible for a brand new pmd when we now have 1025 pokemon, a good chunk of these being special snowflake gimmickmons like the ultra beasts and paradox pokemon which you cant cheap out of and just toss them into a dungeon randomly
I feel that's why the future of the series seems to only be remakes now. they fucked up by missing gen 7 for some reason (whether it was because of the waning popularity of actual spin-offs in favor of shitty mobile games, or something else) and they lost momentum. mainline has introduced way too much shit now, and they're probably too scared to dexcut things after gates' reception. even if they're insane enough to attempt to put everything in the game, TPC would probably stop them because they can't let a meager spin-off have everything while the mainline games don't. the series is just fucked either way
