>>20288236Even so, you're down a valuable moveslot that would be better spent for coverage elsewhere. Conkledurr is desperate for Drain Punch with his supbar speed, so naturally that's one slot. You've already said protect. Now you're left with half a Pokémon to somehow run a viable set with. You have to decide between Fire Punch, Ice Punch, or Thunder Punch, if you want to even go for its main niche, Mach Punch, or if you want to sacrifice one of he aforementioned slots for something a little more circumstantial like, say, brick break, stone edge, or even hammer arm. You've also got to remember that if, at any point, you don't run Thunderpunch, you run the risk of missing out on a super effective move in the instances of Talonflame, Azumarill, Charizard, Mandibuzz, Togekiss, and Skarmory switch ins or stat buffing. But if you go without Fire Punch, you miss out on an effective method of leaving a nice little dent on dear old Aegislash's hide, and will be forced to switch it with virtually nothing to counter this looming threat. And I'm not even going to mention what should happen if you chance across a Trevenant, Mega-Venusaur, or, god forbid, Ferrothorn. And I don't think I need to stress enough the importance of running ice coverage. So many Pokémon have a 4x or at least 2x weakness to it, it's fucking insane. So. Sure, you can sacrifice a moveslot, but you're going to have one hell of a time struggling over four moveslot syndrome.
