I get it, you want to peretend they're plastic bins or ovens, but they're ALL living creatures. And living creatures have genders, fuck there's fungi with 56 genders for fuck's sake - anything that fits the scientific definition of "alive" also reproduces. And pokémon are living creatures in Game Freak's world, thus reproduce, even if the devs didn't add them to the "find eggs in the daycare" egg groups.
