Here are some from my gameplay experience:
- To improve the time it takes to hatch your pokemon, put your eggs either side of a pokemon in your party with flame body.
- Grow a good stock of Lum, Leppa and Sitrus berries to heal your pokemon outside of battle. This will save you money on herbs or potions.
- Finish the game before doing side quests, as you may find you gain a useful tool later which would make all your work much faster and easier.
