Ledges aren't used very intelligently. They're, in every game, used as a shortcut but in this you're using them even though you're coming from, presumably, the starting town. (Assuming this from lab and town1 filename)
Grass positioning is odd. I wouldn't complain too much if it was a later map but startng routes using grass in this odd of a way is strange. Same with the cave.
Bushes seem random and out of place, same with the random tree. Although, if the sign refers to the tree I can let it slide as I use the same in Mountain Town. Grass in towns is stupid, but that's 100% my opinion.
Continuing, a distinctly multi-choice Route 1 comes off as odd. Compare this to Route 1 of Unova which uses the water to intelligently hide extra content while not being overwhelming. your first route comes off as almost overwhelming due to multiple choices and caves, houses, oceans.
Waterfalls, while aesthetically pleasing, serves absolutely no purpose.
Even if this isn't your starting town I'd look at Hoenn and how it teases future caves/areas while not seeming overwhelming.
