>>58186532Because I care about the state of this hobby and I'd prefer people actually discuss it as opposed to just posting amateur photos of cards I've already seen a thousand times. If I just wanted to see cards, I'd google them. But if it matters that much to you, here you go.
>>58186574>If your LGS is constantly stocked in sealed pokemon product after the initial release week or two at MSRP its a unicorn in the wild. They don't, and I'm not going to pretend they do. But thanks to them product is at least possible to get on release day. And if every shop did the same then there would be much more to go around. Ideally there would be enough for it to last more than a day. But as far as I'm concerned, it doesn't matter how much product is on shelves if its all overpriced anyway. It may as well be out of stock if it's just being sold for market.
>This is true for all goods, why is pokemon an exception? There are different circumstances for different products. I'm not going to sit here and go through every individual good and break down their unique situation and whether or not the price being charged is justified. In this case, it is at least partially because the one who are setting the price are not the ones producing the product. Tpci is the one providing the product. Perhaps you'd have a point if this was genuine demand, but it is not and we all know it. It is the direct result of outside forces trying to exploit the situation while being joined by those in the position to do so. I don't give a shit how you try to justify it; if you are knowingly contributing to the manipulation of the market space within the hobby to take advantage of people who genuinely love the product, then that's shitty. You're blatantly just joining in on a racket to fuck your customers over. Of course you're free to do so, but I'm also free to call the bullshit what it is and to encourage others not to support you.
