>>36195119Finally managed to beat Yellow, but not how I would have wanted to. After wiping twice, I restarted the run as a ReplacementLocke, replacing fallen mons with the next mon that was caught, as an added challenge.
My first team (Level 55's) of Pikachu (Carles), Butterfree (Win), Charizard (Ale), Pidgeot (Stella), Vaporeon (Eke) and Wigglytough (JJ) almost made it thru. At the end of Lance, I was down to Butterfree and Charizard, but a critical knocked out the lizard, leaving the Butterfree to take on Blue/Gary all alone. It almost did it destroying half the team!
The second team (Level 57's): Lapras (Lolly), Snorlax (Paal), Hitmonlee (Lee), Gengar (Asslie), Alakazam (Abby), Nidoking (Remm) pulled thru thanks tho their great stats. Lance took out the non-tanks, leaving only Lapras and Snorlax for Blue/Gary which was easy enough.
I don't know why this game is giving me such a hard time near the end. It mostly holds your hand during gameplay but does not prepare you for the final.
