I dunno, RP seems to get fucked by furry Anons and trashed when most people are just having a good time and not getting anything sexual out of it, now mods don't wanna bother with having to police them so they just trash them before they can get big.
I really don't see RP threads as anything other than a catalyst to improve your creativity and writing skills, as well as just have a nice time imagining yourself in fun scenarios.
Maybe a writing general could achieve the same thing, I feel like that's already been attempted before and failed, but I can't really remember clearly. If someone started a general where you could just post fanfics I'd love it though.
