Mark my words, this is what is going to happen: Battle Frontier will be a thing, but not until Pokémon Z or whatever we will get for third version. However, it won't be the Battle Frontier we all know and wanted. Why do you think they only showed the Battle Tower model? Not a mini Seviper or a mini Pyramid? Because they will obligatorily remake a Battle Tower in Z, but it will be a new one, and everybody knows every Battle Frontier has the Battle Tower, so that one is granted for. The new Mega Stones hints are probably also related to Z, because we will surely get more Mega Evolutions there. As for Wallace saying he will become champion, that's just a reference to Emerald. Steven is still the champion no matter how many times you beat him and nothing will change in the game.
