i don't really mind CHARIZARD and pikachu shilling so long as they are willing to not do it at the expense of the new mons (like pic related is fine). like it or not, they're the mascots, and bitching about them as dumb as bitching about chocobos and moogles in finfan.
for seven generations of pokemon the designs have been overall astounding, even if i think there were more worse ones after gen 3, it really only hit the wall at gen 8. so it's silly to say "region i don't like" has bad designs just for gen warring.
when ishihara, masuda, and all the rest of the old guard die, the series may get better. maybe that's just a hope though.
