>>56006690No, it was the "big thing" at the time. A lot of anime was really bright and simple line drawn. Animation is expensive so you better believe studios where quick to adopt, quality be damned. It was a product of it's time and other anime had the same problem. The good thing was it didn't take long for the tech to catch up.
