As Red lead in with Pikachu, I did the same with Lothar - OHKO Fire Blast. Suck it, you little shit. Following that, swapped out Medivh to take out his Espeon, which I had planned on from the start. Was pretty close, Murkrow's defenses really are shit and nearly died from two Swift attacks, but thankfully got lucky and killed it before that ever happened. Blastoise up next, so I sent in Nazjar, first setting up Confuse Ray and Rain Dance amidst its attempts to use Whirlpool to whatever effect. One critical Thunder and he's out. Venusaur tried clearing things up with Sunny Day, but that only left it susceptible to Lothar's Fire Blast again. I tried keeping him in against Snorlax, but that big burly bastard kept on recovering and beating him silly, even with our own Rest/Sleep Talk strat. So swapping out for Neltharion, it wasn't much easier, but he was able to at least tank all of the hits while laying into him with Hyperbeam. Though we succeeded, it backfired when Charizard came and slew our mighty Earth-Warder with Flamethrower. Nazjar came in and took the revenge kill, though surprisingly it took two Surfs to bring it down and knocked her into the red. (Shandris didn't do a damn thing, so I feel that was something of a waste. Cenarius is cool though, he's a team bro.)
So with that, the first chapter on my Gen 2 quest comes to an end. Now I'm going take a wee bit of a break to breathe and prepare for next time.
