>>54360182With our first youma book in tow we were sent by Akyuu to Kourindou, a shop outside the Forest of Magic, for information on the incident plaguing the world. One step outside the town though and we're ambushed by Reimu who challenges us to a battle. It was actually a pretty hard battle and unfortunately we lost Kokoro in the process.
The shop owner directs us into the forest proper in search of Alice, a master of doll magic who might just know what's going on. Unfortunately she doesn't but encourages us to visit it Scarlet Devil Mansion and its owner with the ability to divine fate. Unfortunately the road to the mansion has been overgrown and we'll need to head to the Bamboo Forest of the Lost to fetch a woodcutter's doll.
The bamboo forest is a maze and eventually we find our way to the temple in the center, fighting off all sorts of rabbit girls. Eirin, the advisor to princess Kaguya, says she'll give us the doll if we can break up the fight between Kaguya and her eternal rival Mokou. Eirin subdues her liege while we take on Mokou.
A quick note is that in this game every mon evolves at level 30 with 3 unique forms to pick from when you do. As a bit of added challenge I decided not to evolve any of my mons before the fight.
Mokou was TOUGH. My team has nothing to deal with fire types and she hits like a fucking truck. If it wasn't for our newest member Doremy getting a lucky sing off we might have lost more members. With this victory under our belt we head off to the scarlet devil mansion and our next Youma Book/Gym badge.
