Beach city leads to water route instead of being a dead end
And now there is an easy route that bypasses the desert (in the event desert becomes badass badlands, prolly need a path for people who don't want to die.)

Coast town (6) should lead directly to water route, not sure if that's supposed to be implied but it looks like a dead end and I've even seen maps drawn accordingly.
And I don't know what "desert pass" is, but if the desert is going to be this optional slaughterhouse of a dungeon there should be a way to bypass it, much like how you could skip the Desert Resort in BW.
