You know what else I noticed? For the first time in SO long, I, and many other of my friends, have sat around a table at restaurants, over playing Brawl, etc.. genuinely and excitedly discussing the starter Pokemon, wondering what they might be. Feels just like Ash way back when he couldn't pick.
I gotta say, I love the feeling of all coming to a decision to each pick a different starter.
And you know what? I think, regardless of what they become, the pride of having whichever one chosen as your starter will shine through, and you'll stick with it.
