Compare a group with Cynthia/Hilbert/Cynthia to Cynthia/Cunnycerola/Cynthia against either VH/SH Solgaleo and VH Hau. In my experience leading with Hilbert and then switching to Cynthia after buffing lead to clearing VH Hau before he could set up crit shield. Arcerola just slows the entire fight especially if they are on auto.
My suggestion:
Solo Content - Hilbert/MC+Torchic | Cynthia | Phoebe/Lyra
Hilbert/MC+Torchic - Take care of +6/+4 Atk and +4/+2 Crit respectively
Phoebe/Lyra - Can help cap crit and allow you to squeeze more moves between enemy actions and get you closer to sync
