>>53573445I do agree that they shouldn't really feature in the story itself, but in a community that acknowledges that infinite universes equates to literally whatever you want via infinite variations, its not a bad term in of itself. It does stand to reason that in the vastness of infinity, there will probably be some omnipotent being that will do whatever you want to get the story going, so why go into detail about that specific one if it doesn't matter? Better than Alien Space Bats at least
Also using a "disposable god" to get the SI in does keep them from being tied down to whatever the in-universe inserter might want/should want. Better to have a single line and be done with it than an endless tide of "experiments gone wrong" imo, but then again I do always imagine the ROBs as pic related
