The games are fast. You'll go nowhere with passive Pokemon or playstyles, so don't think you'll be using Toxic or Recover all that often. Hit hard, hit fast.
While it's very offensive, Pokemon that use set-up moves to win are generally inferior. Don't use Zard X for example, use Mega Blaziken.
While you can potentially bring in two Megas with your squad of six, you can still only evolve one in battle. Keep teammates in mind if you decide to have Mawile and Salamence on the same team or what have you.
Pack an Aegislash. I don't care if you don't like him, just do it.
