I'm mostly a pleb when it comes to competitive pokemon, but I have a rich history of learning to iv/nature breed and ev train and I've stuck to two favorite pokemon from Ruby and Colosseum, Medicham and Umbreon. Medicham is my favorite pokemon, he's so good.
The only pokemon that I'm really comfortable with are Medicham and Umbreon, I tend to win battles solely on them. Medicham pretty much one-shots any pokemon and my Umbreon pretty much beats any pokemon who isn't immune to toxic. Heal Bell, Protect, Wish, Toxic Umbreon heals my Medicham.
Any other pokemon I tend to use are just mishmash trying to shoehorn them in and I can never think of good synergy for my Medicham and Umbreon.
I've just been playing UU since all of my pokemon are UU and, quite honestly, I've been doing pretty well. As long as I don't let my Medicham and Umbreon die, I'm good.
